After 557 days, Elon Musk's SpaceX Starman Roadster has completed its first orbit of the sun. According to whereisroadster.com the car has exceeded its 36,000 mile warranty 21,200.1 times while driving around the Sun, moving at a speed of 75,154 miles per hour.

It will still be some time before the mannequin dressed in a spacesuit touches back down to earth.  Earth is on the opposite side of the Sun at the moment, and we should be able to catch a glimpse of the cherry red whip November 5, 2020.

The vehicle isn't expected to reach earth again until 2047 according to Digital Trends.
