Timberland's range of fly boots is expanding into stud territory. In collaboration with Italian retailer One Block Down and upcycling brand Hollywood Trading Company (HTC), Timberland has turned its 6-inch boot into a well-studded wonder.

On Instagram, One Block Down clarified that the three-way boots’ inspiration was “ studs made of glass and solid brass becoming a fashion statement,” a practice that dates back to nearly a century ago and was both decorative and durable. Its collaborative Timberland boots lean more into the former though they’re also naturally the latter.

The boots feature green, white and red embellishments, a nod to the Italian heritage of One Block Down and HTC. The flipped-out tongue reps a studded iteration of One Block Down's logo while the rear wears a single HTC-branded stud — It's all in the details.

Available on January 31, the boots are a charmed-up version of a classic Timberland boot, made even more special by the flipped tongue. As Wales Bonner taught us, this is the epitome of cool (and also a low-key football wink from a shoe not particularly well-known as a football shoe).

Fans follow a similar train of thought in regards to the cool factor of these studded stompers, as they made clear in the comment section of One Block Down's Instagram announcement.

"We will be there," shared one user. "Cold," added another. Enough said.

Studs are having a major moment right now. From Dime's punk rock adidas Gazelle sneaker to HTC’s own bejeweled Birkenstock clogs, studs are an instant cheat code for infusing rockstar flair without undermining established, approachable design language. Basically, studs effortlessly transform trusted staples into edgy pieces.

Plus, this studded collab is just another point on the board for stylish Timberland link-ups, which range from a mega-glossy Veneda Carter team-up to puffed-up END. Hiker boots.

Studs are a new one, though.
