“This project is literally about putting my brain on display, and showcases how chaotic and organized my creative process is. The viewer is a voyeur by design,” says Virgil. “SSENSE has been supportive of my projects since the early days so it feels good to launch this personal project together.”
Highlighted within the exhibition are shoe boxes, a green crayon, a deodorant stick, notes, sketches, and additional artifacts available to purchase as originals or replicas. You’ll be able to buy the limited edition items on-site or through ssense.com.
In addition, an event catalogue, exclusive T-shirt designed by Virgil, and a poster will be released at the opening, with the designer in attendance. The exhibition is open to the public July 2 to July 29.
