WhatsApp, the handy messaging service which was bought by Facebook for $16billion back in 2014, has just announced its very-own desktop app for both Windows and Mac users. While the messenger has operated a web-based service for a while now, the new program will allow users to stay in touch without the inconvenience of having to reach for their phones or start up their browsers.
Rather than make its new product available via the app store, WhatsApp's desktop client can now be downloaded straight from the app's website.
