MMT, short for Memento, are a relatively new entry into the world of watchmaking. The brand started out making pocket watches when the it was founded in 2011. The Hong Kong-based brand was created by French entrepreneur Baptiste Guedez, who teamed with with designer Thomas Letourneux on the watches. This year marks the first time they’ve moved into wristwatches, its their minimal styling to create the R collection, which uses a removable solid wood shell, and the C collection — its classic range — designed for guys who like their watches to be as discreet as their footwear. You think you’re great, so your clothes and accessories should quietly whisper that fact. 2015 is and will be forever known as the year of the minimal stunt.
