NYC-slash-Tokyo retailer Nepenthes unveils a new editorial showcasing its line of avant-garde Japanese menswear. Weirdo workwear from the likes of NEEDLES (and the REBUILD by NEEDLES line of reconstructed vintage pieces), Engineered Garments, Malibu Sandals, Tricker’s and the like is shot in conjunction with a welder’s mask (because workwear, get it?).

There’s all sorts of gear for adventurous dressers, from vast billowing pants to outrageous aqua blue suiting and high-end sandals.

Head over to the Nepenthes website for further info (just make sure you’ve got Google translate handy). For more Japanese fashion news, check out SOPHNET.’s latest lookbook.
