Nike and The Michael J. Fox Foundation have announced an official release date for the 2016 Nike MAG.

Only 89 pairs are set to become available via an online draw, once again raising awareness for Parkinson’s disease. Last year in October, Michael J. Fox made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, teasing a functional pair of Nike MAGs that featured auto-lacing abilities. Then just yesterday, Nike posted a telltale tweet, indicating that release information would be arriving today.

Well, Fox and the brand with the Swoosh have followed through, unveiling a 2016 version of the famously futuristic sneaker from 1989’s Back to the Future Part II. The 2016 Nike MAG features technology that was developed for another Nike silhouette, the HyperAdapt 1.0. Called Adaptive Fit, the new tech senses the wearer’s foot and tightens or loosens accordingly.

The 2016 Nike MAG is limited to only 89 pairs, which will be available to residents of the U.S. and Canada through a digital draw. Entrance to the draw is via Nike.com/mag or via the Nike+ App. Raffle tickets cost $10, with all proceeds going towards to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, and there is no limit on the number of tickets that can be individually purchased. The draw starts on October 4, 2016 and ends October 11, while the winners will be announced on October 17.

Pairs of the 2016 Nike MAGs will also be auctioned live in three cities: Hong Kong on October 11, 2016; London on October 14 and 17; and New York on November 12 at The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s benefit gala, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s.”
