On Monday, the sneaker community collectively lost its shit when KAWS confirmed a collaboration with the Jumpman was indeed in the works.
Courtesy of Jordan Brand, we can now view behind-the-scenes photos of the multi-discipline artist hard at work on the forthcoming silhouette. Although the release is strongly rumored to be an Air Jordan 4 model, a clutch of different retros are visible in the images, including what looks like a patent leather Air Jordan 1.
Already, pictures have leaked showing what appears to be a black suede, gold-accented Air Jordan 4 with KAWS’ signature “X” visible through a translucent, glow-in-the-dark sole. But while the image looks legitimate enough, reports suggest the initial drop will be featured in a “Cool Grey/White” colorway.
Speculation suggests the KAWS X Air Jordan collaboration will be dropping March 1. We’ll be updating these pages with further information as it emerges.
One sneaker definitely on the way is this debonair, corduroy NMD.
