Pamela Anderson has been chosen to be the face of Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood’s new SS17 campaign. Shot by legendary photographer Juergen Teller, the collection draws inspiration from the Mediterranean, as the coinciding campaign was appropriately captured in Greece.
“The island is Hydra, Greece, where I have a house,” says Teller. “It seemed perfect for it. We liked the adventure of it… Vivienne, Andreas and Pamela are all just great people to work with. All three of them bring so much to the shoot. I love working with them. There is a trust between us and we explore and work quite freely.”
The project imagery in turn finds a 49-year-old Anderson donning a number of rustic looks, alongside Westwood and Kronthaler, in addition to various models.
When speaking on the campaign, Anderson had this to say: “I love the spontaneity. I was in London. Andreas asked me to come to Greece with them.”
She then went on to add, “This time we were shooting at Juergen’s home. I love the apocalyptic feel when we shoot. A warrior comes over me and it feels like life and death. How will we survive the climate and over population? We may all become cannibals – or eat rocks.”
This particular SS17 shoot once again positioned Pamela with Vivienne Westwood, as she has modeled for the fashion house on multiple occasions.
