Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has passed Warren Buffett and Amancio Ortega to become the second richest person in the world, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index. As the company’s founder and largest shareholder, Bezos has benefited from Amazon’s 50% stock price increase over the past year, adding considerably to his net worth.

Per Bloomberg, Bezos is now worth an estimated $75.6 billion, again, surpassing Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett ($75.5 billion) and Amancio Ortega ($74.1 billion), chairman of Inditex fashion group.

Bill Gates remains the richest man in the world thanks to a net worth of $86 billion.
