Tune in and turn up

Following multiple teasers, Selena Gomez returns this week to deliver her latest single, titled “Bad Liar.” The release follows up on “It Ain’t Me” featuring Kygo, which arrived back in February.

“Bad Liar” once again finds Gomez working with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, whom the pop star previously collaborated with on Revival. The song is a light, radio-friendly number, featuring a sample from Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer.”

But what exactly is “Bad Liar” about? It doesn’t necessarily hold the meaning that you may think, however, as Tranter stated, “The lyrics are really cool and descriptive about when you first start having feelings for someone, but don’t want to admit it, which turns you into a ‘Bad Liar.'”

Because of this, many insist that the track was written for Selena’s new boyfriend, The Weeknd.

Nonetheless, you can press play above to stream “Bad Liar,” then hit up Spotify for an exclusive music video for the song.
