After releasing its first trailer in March, Netflix unveils another sneak peek at the upcoming live-action film Death Note.

Based on the popular manga series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, the Netflix film moves the setting from Japan to Seattle, Washington, where Light Turner discovers the mysterious notebook and decides to change the world by using its power to kill criminals.

In this scene, Nat Wolff portrays Light Turner who comes face to face with the previous owner of a supernatural notebook, a death god named Ryuk (played by Willem Dafoe) — and instructs him on how to use the book by simply writing the person’s name, manner of death and Death Note completes the task.

Enjoy the clip above and expect Death Note to arrive on Netflix on Friday, August 25, 2017.

Now watch Will Smith mingle with strange orcs in the explosive trailer for ‘Bright.’
