This morning, Public School designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne turned their post-NYFW show into a quickstrike sneakerhead moment. They opened up a pop-up shop and released their newest Jordan Brand collaboration, which includes a full apparel line and two new takes on the Air Jordan XV.
Available in “Black/Black-Sail-Black” suede and a woven “Medium Olive/Medium Olive-Sail” colorways, the apparel complements both shoes’ unique sense of style. In addition to co-branded hoodies, tees, and curved-brim baseball caps, there are also some more experimental silhouettes, like an elongated bomber jacket and a polyester 2-in-1 pant, ideal for balling in autumn’s decidedly cooler temperatures.
The pop-up shop opened in New York’s Chinatown neighborhood at 26A Elizabeth Street and took place from 1-4 p.m.. The whole look and feel is inspired by the neighborhood, and in addition to souvenir items, purchases are bagged up in plastic bags that pay homage to the kinds of stores the street is known for.
The collab also sees the debut of the PSNY x AJXV boot, an exaggerated women’s silhouette with a knee-high upper done up in black tumbled leather. The boot has PSNY hits on the heel and tongue and the label’s “We Need Leaders” motto on the sock liner. Get a closer look at the collaboration in the gallery below.
If you missed the pop-up, don’t worry. The collection is available now on Public School’s website, and will drop tomorrow at retailers like Bergdorf Goodman, KITH, RSVP Gallery, and SoleFly.
