Frank Ocean has won the libel lawsuit that was brought against him by his father, Calvin Cooksey this past February, Law360 reports.

Cooksey was seeking $14.5 million in damages from the Grammy Award-winning musician in response to a note that Ocean posted on his Tumblr in June 2016 during the aftermath of the Orlando nightclub shooting.

U.S. District Judge Stephen V. Wilson shared that Ocean’s statements did not prove that his father was a bigot, but ruled that his father had “failed to meet necessary elements to make his defamation claim.”

Frank Ocean‘s attorney, Keith Bremer also confirmed the outcome to Pitchfork saying, “I am sorry that my client had to go through this and am glad that we could bring closure.”

Recently, Frank Ocean performed a stripped-back studio version of “Nikes.”
