Where the runway meets the street

Following up on a recent collab, Thom Browne and colette are back alongside one another for yet another release. Alongside artist Maurizio Cattelan, the project is a part of the month-long initiative at colette.

“We were in Paris for five days and during that time Thom was a bit annoyed that the French were more interested in me and my scarf than him and his office outfit,” Cattelan says. “And then he said ‘Wow, you can dress like a girl and still get girls? Hand me that scarf!”

Cattelan has in turn designed a limited edition scarf, dubbed “The Future is Grey.” Inspired by the basic principle of art for all, the accessory is modeled after traditional soccer scarves, optioned in cotton and intarsia cashmere.

In providing his two cents on the joint effort, Browne added, “I’ve always appreciated Maurizio’s art and humor. I love when he dresses like a girl and that the French like his scarf better than mine.”

Maurizio Cattelan’s Thom Browne scarf will be available beginning October 18 in store and online.
