In a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, SZA has revealed she’s working on an album with Tame Impala and Mark Ronson that goes beyond the genre categories she’s normally associated with.

“People grapple with labeling me as hip-hop, R&B or pop, and it’s interesting to me. I’m just making music,” she said. “I listen to Stevie Nicks. I love classical jazz. I love folk. I love rap. I love Modest Mouse. I’m making an album with Tame Impala and Mark Ronson. When you try to label it, you remove the option for it to be limitless. It diminishes the music.”

At Governor’s Ball this summer, Ronson and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker debuted an unreleased track with SZA during their DJ set, which you can listen to below via fan-shot footage.

SZA recently featured on Later…with Jools Holland. Revisit her performance of “Normal Girl” from her album Ctrl below.
