Merrell 1TLR has certainly perfected slip-on footwear – mocs, mules, clogs, the full mile. Its shoes are the perfect balance of indoor comfort and outdoor, adventure-ready utility. The best of both worlds, if such a thing exists.
For its latest footwear release, Merrell taps the Brooklyn-based menswear brand Adsum to co-create a limited-edition version of the cozy Hut Moc silhouette.
The ultralight slip-on featured a dark brown perforated suede upper and collapsible heel section, creating adaptability – these can be worn as a slipper or shoe, making it the perfect indoor-to-outdoor transitional piece of footwear.
Over the next few months, Merrell and Adsum will pay homage to the Adirondack Forty Sixers – an elite group of hikers that have reached the summit of all 46 peaks in the Adirondack Park – with a series of additional footwear styles inspired by moments spent on and off the trail.
In the case of the Hut Moc, downtime after a long day hiking, or dipping to the shops on a lazy Sunday inspire the look.
