ASICS has teamed up with Parisian creative director Florence Tétier for a limited-edition run of GEL-Nimbus 9 that will go up for auction later this month.

Tétier — who is co-founder of Novembre magazine, creative director at Jean Paul Gaultier, and a jewelry designer for her namesake brand, Tétier Bijoux — has reworked 30 pairs of the silhouette using obsolete objects and materials to diverge from the digital aspects of the industry.

Arriving in three colorways, the collaboration — which serves as the fourth installment of ASICS’ Craft For Mind program — will be put up for auction on Drouot from Wednesday 14 December, 2022, and shipped exclusively by French retailer Jogging Marseille.

Tétier brings her special touch to the GEL-Nimbus 9 without altering the model itself, by creating a series of handmade jewelry in found plastic which can be moved, tweaked, and altered, making it a completely personalisable sneaker.

What’s more, all proceeds from the collaboration will be donated to L'Ecole Democratique de Paris, a local Parisian collective selected by Tétier.

Such is the sneaker’s exclusivity, sizes will be few and far between, with a limited run of each size and colorway up for grabs.

Sure collaborations are pretty much an everyday occurrence nowadays, but you’ve never seen the ASICS’ GEL-Nimbus 9 looking like this, right? Didn’t think so.
