Ousted Beats by Dre co-founder Steve Lamar launches his own line of headphones under the brand ROAM. The first set of earphones unveiled from the fledgling company is Ropes, hoping to do for earbuds what Beats did for headphones. The lifestyle device connects through Bluetooth and has a six-hour battery life, sidestepping the need to be hooked up to your smartphone. Tethered at the top by a loop, they dangle around your neck like a normal set of headphones when not in use. Retailing for the steep price of $299, if you're so inclined to get in on the first round which ships November 20, you can pre-order yours here.
