Season transitions require a wardrobe refresh, that’s a given. And while sneaker rotations will always need a staple refill, a grailed piece will take a footwear collection to the next level. That’s why, when weather changes put sneaker shopping on our agenda, a visit to resale platforms such as Stadium Goods is a must.
When talking resale shopping, it’s inevitable that Jordan and YEEZY sneakers are involved in the conversation. You’ll find the usual coveted suspects, as well as pieces from the likes of ASICS and New Balance, below.
Scroll on to check our spring sneakers at resale shopping list.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Obsidian”
Inspired by the colors of Michael Jordan’s college career, the “Obsidian” was a 2019 release that seemed to get equal attention from both Jordan devotees and those who had only dipped their toe in the brand beforehand. The “University Blue” color-block is perfect for the upcoming brighter days.
ASICS Gel-Lyte 5 “Mint Leaf”
The trees are in bloom and the ASICS Gel-Lyte 5 “Mint Leaf” is ready and waiting to be that unmissable addition to your spring sneakers rotation.
YEEZY Boost 700 V2 “Tephra”
A YEEZY that dropped in the summer of 2019, but more than suitable for this year’s sun, the “Tephra” is available at resale for pretty much its retail price right now, a smart investment.
Air Jordan 3 Retro “Red Cement”
To a newer sneaker, and one that dropped during this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend. Offering a red iteration of the classic “Cement” colorway, this sneaker also came in a limited Chicago-honoring edition, with “Nike Chi” stamped at the heels.
YEEZY Boost 350 V2 “Yeshaya”
This “Yeshaya” emerged at the start of 2020 but comes in a colorway perfect for Spring/Summer. We’d recommend keeping them fresh until then if you’ve already copped.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Pine Green 2.0”
If white sneakers just aren’t your thing, you can opt to keep things darker while still conforming to the spring palette with the green and black color-blocked “Pine Green” Jordan 1.
YEEZY Boost 350 V2 “Earth”
OK, we know this one might also be dressed in a shade most befitting of fall, but this North America-exclusive YEEZY only dropped last month. A fresh grail to see you through spring.
YEEZY 500 “Soft Vision”
The YEEZY 500 “Soft Vision” was part of a series of new 500s introduced by Kanye West and adidas in fall last year. Though released in the colder months, the shoe’s earthy tone is a good fit for the season transition.
YEEZY 700 V3 “Azael”
From a vintage vibe to full-on future-ready design from Kanye. The “Azael” made a name for itself after it was gifted to DJ Khaled by ‘Ye on the runway of a private airfield. Unlike previous versions of the 700, the “Azael” is without Boost tech, coming with a comfy EVA midsole instead.
New Balance X Engineered Garments M990 V5
Not everyone wants white sneakers, and we’re all about balance. So for the darker souls (and soles), this late-2019 collab from Engineered Garments and New Balance takes on a silhouette that first debuted in the ’80s, offering a modern Japanese twist on a dad favorite.
Nike Blazer Mid 77 Vintage
For fans of the out-and-out classics, we’ve thrown in the Nike Blazer ’77, a sneaker that gives more than a few nods to the silhouette’s past. A piece of basketball history.
