Editor’s Notes: Alex Olson’s skate label has partnered with American photographer Tom Bianchi, using select images from the iconic photographer’s archive.
Between 1975 and 1983, Bianchi documented New Yorks’ Fire Island Pines, a hot spot for the city’s gay men. The images captured the warmth, happiness, and optimism of the queer community prior to the AIDS crisis of the ’80s.
In that same spirit, Bianca Chandôn has dropped a colorful collection of T-shirts and caps. The text on the tees switches between “Fire Island,” “6 Adult Line,” and eponymous branding. Accompanying the T-shirts are four caps in four different colors.
The collection is currently available at Dover Street Market’s London store and online, with a portion of the proceeds going to Visual AIDS, a non-profit dedicated to fighting AIDS and supporting HIV+ artists.
