One of the reasons that Bulgari has been a leading name in luxury jewellery since it was founded in 1884 is because it has the ability to appeal to everybody. Crossing generations, styles, and cultures, Bulgari jewellery represents the enduring, universal pull of luxury, and this has never been more apparent than in the Roman jeweller’s 2022 Unexpected Wonders campaign.

The Unexpected Wonders campaign not only showcases some of the label’s signature icons but also sees the Maison tap a roster of game-changing women with international impact. Shot in Rome — the city that acts as Bulgari’s eternal inspiration — Unexpected Wonders pushes us to fully appreciate the joy that can be found even in the smallest shiny things.

Inviting us to do so are four modern icons and long-time friends of the Maison. From Zendaya to Priyanka Chopra, Lalisa AKA LISA, and Anne Hathaway, these high-profile personalities have been lensed by Dan Jackson and Chris Colls, whose aim was always to portray the strong and multi-faceted nature of each of the muses.

Perhaps most notable about the Unexpected Wonders campaign is the way in which each of these leading women wears a range of Bulgari jewellery which perfectly suits their character. Take Anne Hathaway, for example, who wears the high-end, timeless creations of the Serpenti range alongside a sprinkling of refined pieces and watches from the Divas’ Dream collection. Zendaya, on the other hand, expresses her personality and sophistication not only through High Jewellery works of art but also wearing iconic pieces from B.zero1 jewellery and Bvlgari Bvlgari watches collections. Priyanka Chopra shines in the confidence of High Jewellery and Serpenti, while LISA’s more edgy style resonates with the necklaces and rings of the B.zero1 lineup, rounded out with the elegant pendants of the Divas’ Dream collection.

Beyond Dan Jackson’s campaign, Zendaya and Hathaway act as the protagonists of a movie directed by Academy Award-winner Paolo Sorrentino. His first collaboration with Bulgari sees the actors explore a magical downpour of flowers as they take in the views of Rome before dancing in through a historical Roman palazzo.

From the talent to the product, every aspect of Bulgari’s “Unexpected Wonders” campaign brims with the kind of luxury that positions the Roman Maison as a leader in its field. Proving Bulgari to be a house for all ages and all styles, it’s an impactful statement that luxury never gets old.
