Under Riccardo Tisci‘s creative direction, Burberry‘s latest collection includes grail pieces such as cut-out monogram sweaters and revisited classics such as check-printed trench coats. The latest piece to have caught our attention, though, is a car coat featuring statement contrast stitching throughout.
Made from cotton, the piece fuses the car coat’s traditional design (classic collar, concealed button closure, and side pockets) with Tisci’s fashion-forward approach. The contrasting color stitch runs through every trim, giving the classic car coat a fresh, deconstructed vibe.
Part of Tisci’s debut collection for Burberry, this topstitched car coat is a masterclass in craftsmanship, as well as a timeless addition to your spring wardrobe. Available at luxury e-commerce platform Farfetch, the piece arrives with a not-so-unexpected steep price tag of $2,390, but is a quality investment piece that’ll still look great many years from now.
