When it comes to visual referencing and mash-up culture, Chinatown Market is a name that's always mentioned. Founded in 2016, the LA-based label is inspired by founder Mike Cherman’s childhood memories of time spent on New York’s Canal Street with his father. Canal Street itself is a mishmash of vibrant cultures, running through Chinatown as well as SoHo and Little Italy, and if you’ve ever tried to buy a replica anything in New York City, you probably did it on Canal Street.

Chinatown Market’s loud visual style rests on memorable logos, most prominently the smiley face, which has recently been emblazoned across one of our favorite face masks yet. Available at Urban Outfitters, the Chinatown Market face mask is made from pure cotton for breathability and comfort. What’s more, adjustable straps mean that one size fits all. At $19, this reusable face mask ranks with the best of the branded pieces for affordability as well as style.
