Not so long ago, our second ever episode of "Why It's Cool" explored a pop-culture moment being experienced by cacti. It touched on the allure of the succulent plants that are increasingly populating bachelor pads and dorm rooms, and how particularly rare one-of-one cacti do in a very niche resell market. Now, it seems that brands are reacting to this 21st-century indoor gardening trend more than ever, and we've recently caught wind of some particularly dope planters with major crossover appeal.
Gardeners with a penchant for steezy streetwear (and downright dope interior pieces) can now live out their wildest botanical dreams with the help of some pretty nifty plant pots. With brands such as Bodega Rose specializing in resin sneaker-shaped planters with a product description that reads: "Make it a planter, ashtray, bookend, suitable for all hype needs", as well as Nike-branded hanging basketballs with cut-outs for all the coolest plantlife you can source.
Meanwhile, if you're looking for more grown-up homewares for your greenery, we've been eyeing Tiipoi's concrete water tower-shaped planters for a minute. Made in India, the designs come from 3D printed molds that make for insane architectural detailing such as pipework, ladders, and structural ridges.
Peep all our favorite super-steezy plant pots below, and let us know your favorites in the comments.
