[UPDATE] November 8, 2017 10:51. EST This is the third time the New York design studio has worked with the COS. Creative Director of COS, Karin Gustafsson remarked: “To collaborate once again with Snarkitecture is to celebrate our aim to form long-term exchange with the creative talent that inspires us, at COS. ” The retailer also supported artist, Agnes Martin’s retrospect at New York’s Guggenheim in 2016.
Fashion imprint COS aligns with Snarkitecture, the New York-based art and architecture studio founded by Daniel Arsham and Alex Mustonen once more for an immersive installation in Seoul.
Drawing inspiration from the collections and values of COS – Snarkitecture has designed an interactive exhibit that invites visitors into a contemplative environment, exploring precision and chance. Thousands of glass marbles will travel around the room, creating a mesmerizing experience.
Daniel Arsham and Alex Mustonen of Snarkitecture comment, “We’re very excited to continue our series of collaborations with COS for Snarkitecture’s first project in Seoul. The installation merges the technical sensibility of the latest COS collection with Snarkitecture’s approach to create a playful and interactive environment. We look forward to inviting everyone in Seoul to visit and experience the installation this fall!”
The installation will be held at the Gana Art Center, in the Pyeongchang-dong area of the city, and will be open to the public from Wednesday, November 8 till Sunday, November 19, 2017.
