Back in March 2017, a bronze bust of world-famous Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo was unveiled in his hometown of Madeira, Portugal.

For anyone who so much as glanced at the sculpture, it was obvious that the rendering didn’t bear a completely accurate likeness to the real Ronaldo. Almost instantly, the internet exploded.

The sculptor himself, Emanuel Santos, defensively claimed that it all comes down to a “matter of taste.” But now a new documentary from Bleacher Report has revealed how disastrous the incident truly was to Santos and his family. The 10-minute cut also follows Santos’ shot at redemption, as he steps up to the penalty mark to create a second bust of Ronaldo. “I’m making the bust again to show people that I’m not what the media made me look like,” Santos notes.

Now, here’s how to train like Cristiano Ronaldo.
