Desiigner dropped his brand new EP, L.O.D., earlier this month, and the rapper has just released the official music video for his standout track, “Hood.”

Taking it back to his old neighborhood at a Bedford-Stuyvesant public housing project in Brooklyn, the Brooklynite is seen mingling with a group of local residents, decked out in a plush white fur coat, while signing autographs and more.

The modern and retro-remixed visual follows Desiigner through his hood, greeting fans, as midway through the video, viewers are taken inside the home of a little boy, where his parents are involved in a heated argument, followed by showcasing the constant presence of police activity in the area.

Additionally, Desiigner expresses how the video is very meaningful to him in a recent Instagram post seen below, as he hopes to see work towards ending violence, shootings, and police brutality in neighborhoods like his own, nationwide.
