Editor’s Notes: A staple brand in the UK for decades, Hi-TEC has reached deep into its archives for its SS19 footwear lineup, bringing back two all-new sneakers for this season alongside some more familiar styles.

The BXT Blast and the BW Infinity are both new this season. The latter first released in 1989 and was one of the brand’s best-sellers due to its, at the time, groundbreaking hybrid trail and road-running features. Designed specifically for the 146-mile ultra-marathon in Badwater, California, the sneaker also features a custom Vibram outsole, exclusive to Hi-TEC.

Another model to make use of a proprietary Vibram midsole is the Silver Shadow RGS, which originally dropped in 1981 and has since been updated with Hi-TEC’s RollinGait System (RGS) outsole. The outsole was developed in collaboration with Vibram.

Each of the styles take cues from Hi-TEC’s Adventure Racing Series (active from 1989 to 1999) and represent a welcome new direction for the brand. The combination of outdoor-ready technology with heritage sport uppers may prove to be popular in today’s hiking-inspired sneaker climate.

Check out all styles above and look for the Hi-TEC SS19 footwear to drop over the next few months, with some styles already available at the aforementioned retailers.
