The wheel of reboots has now landed on I Know What You Did Last Summer. The iconic '90s slasher franchise is getting a reboot on Amazon as a TV reboot, according to Deadline. James Wan will direct the pilot, although it's unclear if he'll stay on for longer.

Wan was recently taken on big budget fare in Aquaman & Furious 7, but he made his name in horror with The Conjuring, Insidious, and Saw, making him a perfect fit for the new show. The series is being branded as a "YA horror series," so we'll see if that means any muting of the violence.

This project is still in very early development, so don't expect to stream the new I Know What You Did Last Summer for quite a while.

In the meantime, check out our list of the best horror movies on Netflix.
