Swedish multinational furniture company IKEA is officially opening its first "city center" store in Manhattan in 2019, the company announced on Monday. IKEA previously opened its nearby Brooklyn location in 2008.

In the statement, IKEA said the new Manhattan store will act as a "planning studio" for shoppers to pick out items they want delivered to their homes. Lower-priced shipping and delivery for city dwellers will be offered, in addition to assembly services, aid with financing, as well as buy online and pick up in-store options.

The NYC location also marks as the first market nationwide for the planning studio concept and it will open at 999 Third Avenue, New York, NY in Spring 2019. The store's focus will place an emphasis on smart solutions for urban living and small spaces.

Head on over to IKEA now for more details. Also, here is the full Virgil Abloh x IKEA collection with pricing details, expected to drop next year.
