After deleting all of his Instagram posts, and changing to a purple avatar, J. Cole has since taken to Twitter to seemingly announce a new album out this Friday, April 20. No other details are known about the record, other than the rapper tweeting the abbreviation ‘KOD.’ See his tweet below.

Last night, J. Cole hosted a special show in New York City. No cameras or phones were allowed during the set, which Miss Info has reported was an official album release party for the follow-up to 2016’s 4 Your Eyez Only.

Aside from this news, the most recent J. Cole we were blessed with appeared over the weekend, in a verse in ESPN’s NBA Playoff promo.

Be sure to stay tuned to see what J. Cole has in store this Friday.

In other music news, Kendrick Lamar just won a Pulitzer Prize for ‘DAMN.’
