John Lobb's Fall/Winter 2016 collection has two simple missions: Exploring elements of nature through design, and crafting high-quality footwear. Taking inspiration from the granite rock formations found at Dartmoor in Devon, UK, the assortment focuses on presenting design elements in their purest most organic form.
Pre-existing silhouettes like the "Balmoral" group of boots and shoes come with updated rubber soles, while the "Museum Calf" silhouette has been reinvigorated with a waterproof finish and notched storm welts. Both styles also come with palladium lace hooks and 1940s inspired eyelets.
According to the brand, the collection was in development for over six months. It was time well spent as John Lobb also introduced a new construction called "Tensile"; it is comprised of a Goodyear Welt and quilted sock details interiors for superior comfort and durability.
