We here at Highsnobiety Music HQ were waiting with bated breath for April 7, 2017 - a day that would go down in hip-hop history. Unfortunately, it looks like Kendrick Lamar will not be dropping his highly anticipated fourth studio album today, which he hinted at a few weeks ago when he released a track called “The Heart Part IV.” A preorder for the full length appeared on iTunes last night, currently titled ALBUM with an “expected release date” of April 14 via Top Dawg Entertainment. Click here to preorder.
Although there’s no cover artwork or full tracklist available as of yet, information provided with the iTunes preorder lists some choice contributors on the album - U2, BADBADNOTGOOD, James Blake, DJ Dahi, the Alchemist, 9th Wonder, and more. The first single of the album “HUMBLE.”, which dropped last week, is included in the tracklist at position 8. It remains to be seen if K Dot still has a surprise up his sleeve for fans today. Meanwhile, check out some hilarious reactions from Kendrick’s fans on Twitter below. We’re in this together, y’all. One more week.
