LEGO is celebrating Star Wars Day (May the Fourth) today with the announcement of a new robotics coding kit, called LEGO Star Wars BOOST Droid Commander. It allows fans to build, code, and play with three iconic droids from the franchise: R2-D2, Gonk, and an Imperial Mouse.
The Droid Commander set includes a color and distance sensor, interactive motor, a Bluetooth Move Hub, and 1,177 pieces. Each droid has its own personality, skills, and Star Wars sounds and music. The droids range in height from 5-7 inches. The LEGO BOOST Star Wars app is free, and it allows the creator to solve over 40 missions by inserting the Bluetooth Move Hub into their droid of choice.
Retailing for $199.99, the Droid Commander set will be available globally on September 1.
