According to Billboard, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ "Old Town Road" remix is spending its 13th week at No. 1 on the Hot 100. This record breaking feat makes it the longest running hip-hop song ahead of Wiz Khalifa's 2015 hit "See You Again featuring Charlie Puth," The Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow," and Eminem's 2002 classic "Lose Yourself."

“Old Town Road” is now joining ranks with Brandy and Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine" as well as Boyz II Men’s “End Of The Road." If the single goes on another week at the top, it will officially reach an eight-way tie with the likes of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You,” Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling,” Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk,” Boyz II Men’s “I’ll Make Love To You,” and Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together."

This week, Lil Nas X is also being celebrated for coming out as gay in a tweet on the last day of Pride Month. The end of the "Old Town Road" era seems far from over. While you’re here, revisit our review of Lil Nas X’s debut EP.
