Over time, we've already covered almost every corner of our wardrobe with denim, but we still want more. Crazy designs such as the Balenciaga Denim Pants-top have put denim updates in the spotlight, and Jonathan Anderson has taken note.

Anderson's penchant for bizarre footwear is in overdrive right now. We’ve already seen a pair of Jeakers, and now we have a pair of Jeels...?

With the rise of the Y2K style last year, denim is now one of the primary fabrics for designers to experiment with. Its perks go beyond the styling field as it is also super accessible for brands to upcycle.

From big players in the fashion scene like Diesel to up-and-coming brands like No Faith Studios, labels are going all out with denim experimentation. What further proof do we need than Julia Fox rocking an all-denim look consisting of an MPaz StudioJress and some Diesel Joots?

In Loewe's SS23 collection, Anderson's most surreal dreams came to life with head-turning designs such as pixelated sweaters or balloon heels. With bold designs like that out there, why would the British designer shy away from denim? His deconstructed craftsmanship is seen in jackets, skirts, and now in footwear, too.

This pair of folded heels probably reminds you of that DIY jeans boots TikTok trend, but this pair is built different. Literally. Making use of heavy raw selvedge denim instead of the stonewashed fabrics we've seen so far, Loewe provides yet another twist to this twisted piece of clothing.
