Back in November American Apparel announced it was teaming up with Luka Sabbat and Noah Dillon, the creators of Hot Mess, for a “new social collab.”

On December 19, two snippets of a video were posted to the Hot Mess Instagram account. The caption reads “My America. Collaboration with @americanapparel. A glimpse into the small town of Idyllwild, Ca feat @lilahsummer and her family.”

The video features model, Delilah Summer Parillo, with her family in her home town of Idyllwild. The video itself is a dreamy, nostalgic look at middle America, complete with wood chopping, grainy VHS footage and shots from trailer parks and lakes. Dillon’s directorial touch is reminiscent of Sofia Coppola’s Virgin Suicides.

It has been a busy year for Sabbat and Dillon, who are rumored to have a project with Margiela in the pipeline.
