Over the weekend, Nike officially commenced Air Max Day 2017 with a huge projection on the face of the Centre Georges-Pompidou in Paris.

A story which is now embedded in sneaker folklore, the building famously inspired Tinker Hatfield’s design for the Air Max 1, which features an air window that took design cues from the Pompidou Centre’s iconic inside-out design. On Saturday night – the eve of Air Max Day – Nike debuted a brand new film using projection-mapping on the exterior of the building soundtracked by a new song by French rapper, Joke, titled “Vision.”

The presentation was a part of Air Max Day celebrations around the world, including events in Moscow, Bangkok, Shanghai, London and more.

See a clip of the projection above, and you can also check out our live coverage of the projection below.
