Nike's LD-1000 sneaker may be one of the oldest Nikes and, therefore, a true Swoosh OG. But the revived model is quite youthful in spirit...and colorways.

Most recently, a tasty "Neapolitan" look graced the seriously retro sneaker, resulting in a familiar, delicious color arrangement across the mesh and suede construction. The question on my mind? Do I want a bowl of ice cream or these LD-1000s? I'm still deciding.

Nike's LD-1000 has also appeared in a bright "University Red" colorway, with a shiny silver Swoosh topping the traditionally Waffle-soled sneaker.

As we speak, there are even stunning "University Gold" and "Vintage Green" LD-1000 sneakers available on Nike's SNKRS app.

Earlier this year, Nike dusted off the once-recalled model — several others, too — for a second chance at life. Following a vibrant Stüssy refresh, the LD-1000 made its long-awaited return in a surprisingly quiet outfit, a meshy black and sail colorway.

That's not to say the 47-year-old model didn't look good (it looked great, actually).

The LD-1000 appeared in several bold colorways in its previous lifetime, helping spotlight Nike's then-new Waffle sole technology. So, colorful schemes were expected for its revival.

It turns out that the black and cream LD-1000 was just the warm-up. The latest Nike LD-1000 sneakers continue to see the bold refreshes the model deserves, channeling the model's roots and genuine vintage charm.
