Editor’s Notes: Months ago LeBron James opened his I Promise School for at-risk youth in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. Nike is paying homage to the endeavor with a special release of LBJ’s LeBron 16.

The “I Promise” LeBron 16 features a black Battleknit 2.0 upper, accented with multicolored yarn throughout. An iridescent Swoosh then brands the pair towards the heel, as the sneaker is outfitted with complementary phrases (noted in Key Features) on the heels and the tongue. The LeBron 16s come with tonal laces and are livened up underneath by multicolored sections on the outsole.

Nike has yet to announce a release date for the “I Promise” LeBron 16, so be sure to check back with us for additional details.
