While Hillary Clinton was insanely close to becoming the first female President of the United States, many still expect that a woman will be the leader of the free world sooner rather than later. Will it be Hillary? Possibly Michelle Obama? Or what about Oprah Winfrey? After all, our current president is a former reality TV star.
In a new interview with David Rubenstein on Bloomberg's The David Rubenstein Show: Peer-to-Peer Conversations, Oprah was presented with the possibility of running for president. Winfrey went on to reveal that before Trump was elected, she felt under-qualified. But now, seeing that you clearly need no prior political experience, Oprah seemed noticeably intrigued.
"I actually never thought that that was — I never considered the question even a possibility," Winfrey told Rubenstein. "I just thought, 'Oh. Oh.'"
To that, Rubenstein responded with, "it's clear you don't need government experience to be president."
"I thought, 'Oh, gee, I don't have the experience. I don't know enough,'" Winfrey went on to say. "And now I'm thinking, 'Oh.'"
