Editor’s Notes: Patta and Clarks Originals have teamed up to collaborate on the latter’s Desert Trek, a shoe that gained popularity among Jamaicans, as well as the Patta crew. Patta co-founder Guillaume Schmidt also felt it important for the project to raise awareness for Jamaica’s role in making this particular model a style icon.
“I don’t really think people are aware of this role. We see it as our mission to put certain things into perspective and this collaboration is our opportunity to do so,” he says.
Keeping things authentic, the above lookbook was shot in Jamaica’s capital, Kingston by acclaimed photographer Stacii Samidin. Check it out above and stay tuned for the drop on Friday, August 23.
