Where the runway meets the street

Raf Simons has released a new t-shirt paying homage to Joy Division. The front of the black tee features the band’s Unknown Pleasures cover, while the back includes the band’s Substance artwork which reads, “Joy Division 1977 – 1980.”

This isn’t the first time the designer has featured Joy Division’s iconic artwork. As part of Simons’ Fall 2003 “Closer” collection, the designer teamed up with graphic designer Peter Saville on a range of hand-painted parkas featuring iconic Factory Records album artwork.

The collection included an Unknown Pleasures parka, alongside parkas featuring artwork from New Order’s Technique, OMD’s Dazzle Ships and New Order’s Power, Corruption & Lies.

You can buy the tee now at Dover Street Market’s online store for approximately $353. But hurry — sizes are going quick.
