Rihanna turned 32 yesterday and although she's usually busy running fashion and beauty empires (not forgetting working on her new album), she managed to take a break from business to celebrate. And, thanks to E!, we have a little intel as to what went down.

According to the outlet and to a number of Instagram posts, we know that Rihanna celebrated her birthday in Mexico on Wednesday night. She was joined by her closest friends and family at an undisclosed location for a lavish dinner, dancing, and a bunch of tequila shots.

Rihanna and her guests sat a long white table and enjoyed their meal while mariachis performed in the background. Take a look below.

The party was both indoors and outdoors, with decorations spanning flower arrangements, balloons, and cupcakes spelling out "RIH32."There was even a Rihanna-shaped piñata, inspired by her look at the 2019 British Fashion Awards (complete with realistic-looking cornrows).

Naturally, the cake was extra AF — a triple-layered, rainbow-decorated situation. In the Instagram video below, Rihanna can be seen twerking while blowing the 32-shaped candles. Judging by all the footage, Rih's party was a whole lot of fun.
