sacai and UGG have come together for a special FW18 collaboration, consisting of footwear styles for men and women. The collection was first seen on the runway at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year.
The joint effort finds sacai designer Chitose Abe reimagining the UGG Classic boot, implementing a striped knit upper to the signature sheepskin design. The shoe is offered in three colorways and two heights.
“It’s not just because UGG boots are comfortable, but the authenticity of the Classic silhouette is something which I always admired.” said Abe. “I worked with UGG to explore the notion of classic.”
Both the men’s sacai Knit Classic Mini in chestnut and the women’s sacai Knit Classic Mini II in black retail for $325, while the women’s sacai Knit Classic Short II in grey runs $350. You can find the boots available now exclusively at Dover Street Market in New York City and Los Angeles. They will then make their way to select retailers worldwide, sacai stores, and an UGG microsite on November 17.
In addition to the UGG collab, sacai has released two new styles from its Gem collection, also exclusively through Dover Street Market. The men’s garment is a hybrid denim jacket combined with a military mods coat, while the women can take advantage of a hybrid denim shirt combined with a floral print dress, featuring a grosgrain belt at the waist.
These pieces launch at Dover Street Market LA on November 3, prior to hitting Dover Street Market stores worldwide on November 10.
