British rapper slowthai has covered Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Annie Mac.

After performing his own songs "Gorgeous" and "Nothing Great About Britain," he reveals he'll be covering "Old Town Road" because "the tune [is] hard."

Putting a "slowthai twist" on the track, he raps lines like "I'm gonna take what's yours on the old town road, I'm gonna ride 'til I can't no more... Can't nobody tell me nuttin', can't nobody tell me lies."

He also calls out Gucci, unlike the original song, which mentions a "cowboy hat from Gucci." Rounding out the instrumental track is a guitar and even some saxophone. Listen to the segment featuring "Old Town Road" here — it starts at 1:20:50.

slowthai's debut album Nothing Great About Britain drops tomorrow.
