Editor’s Notes: Japan's Snow Peak teams up with New Balance's Tokyo Design Studio for a new mountain-ready release consisting of footwear and apparel. The standout from the collection is a mid-top sneaker dubbed the EXTREME SPEC R_C4 MID.
The EXTREME SPEC R_C4 MID is designed to handle the most extreme weather conditions, while simultaneously matching the lifestyle of urban dwellers. The mid-cut shoe boasts GORE-TEX lining on the inside of a Cordura ripstop upper, offering both waterproofing and breathability. The outsole is made by Vibram, as the rubber is built to withstand slippery terrain. The midsole of the EXTREME SPEC R_C4 MID features New Balance's ENCAP REVEAL technology, which provides the wearer with improved stability as well as cushioning. Lastly, the sneaker is equipped with a magnetic FIDLOCK buckle for added safety.
