Today CBS gives us our first look at its new Star Trek series centering around Jean-Luc Picard. Patrick Stewart reprises his role as Jean-Luc in Star Trek: Picard, which is expected to debut in December of this year.

While not much is known of the show at this time, the roughly one-minute teaser spotlights the Chateau Picard winery which Jean-Luc now runs since his retirement from Starfleet. Star Trek: Picard appears to take place 15 years after a pivotal moment in the character's life.

In addition to starring in the series, Stewart is also listed as a producer alongside Alex Kurtzman, James Duff, Akiva Goldsman, Michael Chabon, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth, and Aaron Baiers. The 78-year-old actor played Jean-Luc Picard in seven seasons on Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Star Trek: Picard is expected to arrive in December on CBS All Access in the US and Amazon Prime in other countries. Be sure to check back with us for more surrounding the anticipated program.
