Japanese brand BEAMS has linked up with TIMEX to celebrate the 90th birthday of a major cultural icon — Mickey Mouse. The anniversary collaboration arrives in the shape of a bespoke wristwatch, featuring the beloved Disney character at the center.
The watch face was designed by BEAMS and features Mickey Mouse in a 1930s animation style known as pie-cut-eye, which was adopted in that decade to give life to cartoon characters. The dial plate also features the BEAMS logo alongside a cute addition that sees Mickey's arms used as the long and short watch hands.
The capsule features two timepieces that arrive in either black, yellow, and white, or red, black, and white colorways, with matching nylon wristbands. Each watch comes in an original box, is priced at 10,000 Yen (approx $89) plus tax, and is available to cop from BEAMS online store.
